Everything is
Energy

Energy work is as ancient as healing itself.  Hippocrates, the father of Western medicine, called the body’s natural capacity to heal itself “vis medicatrix naturae”.  Which means “the healing power of nature.”

Almost all cultures share a fundamental belief that life is more than just a physical body.  Life is a unity of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, and is infused with a special energy that gives it vitality.

Energy healing, or energy work, seeks to restore, promote, and maintain health and wellness by influencing and supporting the body’s bioenergies.

These energies are variously referred to as qi, prana, vital force, life force, mana, and more.

Some forms of energy work are quite ancient.  Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for example is based on the concept of qi, or lifeforce.  TCM is documented to be over 6000 years old.

Why Energy
Healing Works

What we now know is that it works at the quantum level.

It can be difficult to understand why or how energy work can make changes in the body. It can sometimes look like nothing and/or feel like nothing is happening or it may feel like flows of energy, pressure, tingling, or warm water flowing, depending on the individual.

Acupuncture, for example, has been used for thousands of years. Energy runs around in the body on highways (called meridians), and they are blocked, acupuncture helps free up the energy flow.

When this energy flow is restored, it often helps the symptoms.

Even our home electricity is still a mystery.  If you ask any electrician – even a master electrician – they’ll tell you we don’t know how it works.  But we do know how to use it to get power to our electronic devices.

Energy work has been shown to be extraordinarily effective.  Even if we can’t see the smallest, quantum particles – energy workers are still affecting them.

Energy Healing Treatments

GCEMA Founder: Renee Tucker, DVM

Dr. Renee Tucker received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. She received her Certification for Animal Chiropractic (CAC) in 1998, and her Acupuncture certification in 2000.

"Energy work" was not originally in Dr. Tucker's plans.  "I thought energy work was woo-woo!  I didn't grow up with any understanding or exposure to alternative medicine, let alone energy work".

In searching for answers to perplexing medical questions, Dr. Tucker continued to pursue opportunities for healing.

"How do things work?" has always been a question that Dr. Tucker has tried to answer. Prior to receiving her veterinary degree, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering. This unique combination of veterinarian and engineer has enabled her to create a special approach.

After trying multiple modalities, over many years, and on thousands of patients, she found that energy work made the deepest changes possible.

However, results are dependent on the practitioner's skill and experience.

Dr. Tucker developed her own unique alignment technique, Tucker BioKinetic Technique (TBT).

She's been practicing for 25+ years and taught 100s of students energy work.

She's also developed techniques to evaluate students' work and thereby can evaluate anyone's work.

Many energy modalities make people "feel good".  Feeling good has a value of its own.  In addition to feeling better in the session and maybe for a few weeks later, it is important that real improvements with long-term value are made.
